FAQ

Common questions about the free trial, organization accounts, and live projection.

Getting started

What is Projector?
Projector is a cloud-based presentation dashboard for projecting lyrics, notes, Bible verses, and styled text during worship services and live events. It runs in your browser with separate projector and teleprompter output windows.
Do I need to install software?
Nothing to download. Projector runs entirely in a modern browser on any computer, laptop, or tablet — Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook. Open the app, sign in, and start building your library.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. The free trial lets you explore the live workflow — library, schedules, Bible uploads, projector, and teleprompter — for evaluation. Paid monthly or yearly organization access is requested from your LyraDisplay account (organization owner); checkout is not online yet. See Pricing.
How do I sign up?
Create a free LyraDisplay account, open Projector, and start a free trial. Paid plans are not published yet — try the demo and trial only for now.

Content & library

How do I edit songs and notes?
Use Add or Edit in the library to change songs and notes. Preview shows your live slide — it is not where you save lyrics or announcements. For bulk changes, open Manage library from the library column.
Can I plan a whole service?
Yes. Use the Schedule tab to build a run sheet with songs, notes, and Bible verses in order. Step through items live with the previous and next controls.
Can I use my own Bible translation?
Yes. Upload an EPUB Bible under Manage library, then select it as your Bible source. EPUB editions are easy to find through Google, Bing, and other search engines. More formats are coming soon — contact us if you need something specific.

Live workflow

Do I need two screens?
A browser plus one extra screen is enough to get started — dashboard on your device, projector window on a spare monitor or TV. More screens give you more flexibility, such as a dedicated teleprompter display alongside your audience output.
Who operates the dashboard during a service?
Usually one person runs the dashboard while musicians or speakers follow the teleprompter. You can rehearse transitions in the preview before going live.
Can I update slides during a song?
Yes. Step through song sections or schedule items with previous and next controls, double-click a section to push immediately, or enable auto-update to sync preview changes to open projector and teleprompter windows.
What is writing delay?
When auto-update is on, writing delay (in Appearance settings) waits a few seconds after you stop typing before sending changes to the displays — so you do not flash half-finished text. Update Displays always sends immediately.

Pricing & accounts

How much does it cost?
Pricing is not finalized yet. Projector will support both subscription (monthly/yearly) and one-time organization purchase options. See Pricing or contact us for updates.
What is an organization account?
Each organization has its own library and settings. An active trial or paid license covers the whole organization. Only the designated organization owner can request subscriptions and renewals.
